My husband, Nick, myself and our two daughters (Madison and Genelise) live on Peralta St in Albany. I've been an Albany resident for 10 years (Nick for 16 years). I'm a teaching coach for OUSD and NIck is an Architect formerly w/ LBNL for 15 years and now transitioning to something that actively supports sustainability. We have 2 vehicles (Prius & bio-diesel truck) but mainly use our bikes and walking to get around Albany. We advocate simple living and keep our consumption to a minimum. We love Albany's accessible government and neighborhood-centric community atmosphere. We are here for the long haul.
P.S. We also love horses and sponsor one in El Sobrante.

hi Katia-
Berkeley's solar incentive was discussed by the Sustainability Committee and we agreed that we should have City of Berkeley staff present more info to the committee. I believe it's been scheduled for this month or next. I'd encourage you to show up to a SC meeting and comment during the public comment period. Hope that info helps - thanks for writing!
