Requiring I enter my birthdate

Hi all. I'm excited to be a part of this online community. However, I was a little steamed when joining to find out that I was required to enter my birthdate when joining. Since I may have to remember this later, I did enter my real birthdate, but in the future, I will create and remember a fake birthdate that I use at every non-business site that requires me to enter one. This is personal information that can be used for identity theft. Please join me in complaining to any site that requires that you enter such information.
